Mainly Music

Mainly music is a fun music group for parents or primary care givers [grandparents, foster parents] to enjoy together with their young child. Throughout the morning, children develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills as well as socialise with others.

Each mainly music is associated with and is run by volunteers from St Saviours church. Children are introduced to music, creativity and more, plus families given a chance to think about the God-part of life. Amazing to think that all this can be achieved in a loving, shared family environment.

Mondays 10am at St Saviours Church Hall

Our Values

Generosity

Generosity is our ability to be large hearted and open handed.

We demonstrate this through the celebration of Easter and Christmas, Mother's Day and Father's Day, and your child's birthdays. We have a strong gift giving culture.

Connection

The linkages we make in all connections with people and God.

We demonstrate this through whole relationships with the families who attend. We recognise that the base for mainly music is the local church, who selflessly provide volunteers, finance, premises and leadership support to make the mainly music group happen for the enjoyment of families from the community.

Creativity

Creativity is our edge, our point of difference and our future.

We encourage and foster the sharing of ideas within our groups - and the ideas that come are fantastic. It is our expectation that each team will do what they do, well.

Celebration

Celebration is our commitment to noticing the extraordinary in the ordinary.

We are generous in our celebration while mindful of good resource management. We want to notice even small changes, such as a child participating even in part of a session; and celebrate with families. We celebrate the unit of 'family' believing it to be the basis of society!

Honour

Honour is the value we place on all of life and characterises our behaviour and our interactions.

We will be non-judgemental. We speak words that are affirming and are kind. We are caring and respectful of others and ourselves. We aspire to be faithful - doing what we say and commit to.
